RUSSELL GAGE BEING TESTED FOR NECK INJURY AFTER SCARY HIT IN BUCS-COWBOYS

Another somber incident occurred in front of a primetime audience on Monday night.

When Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Russell Gage was taken off by stretcher late in the fourth quarter of a wild-card playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys.

This happened just two weeks after Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin collapsed and needed to be revived on the field.

Gage was shot in the neck by Donovan Wilson when he tripped over a route, fell to the ground, and couldn't make the catch.

He looked to try to stand up, but when he was unsuccessful, he smacked his fist into the ground in anger.

Both teams' players knelt and prayed as Gage was treated by medical staff.

Before the game resumed, Tom Brady, who threw the pass to Gage, was standing close to the medical personnel.

According to Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles, Gage was treated for a neck injury at a nearby hospital after being taken there with a concussion.

Bowles noted that Gage can move all of his extremities.

Hamlin suffered a heart collapse on January 2 after making a tackle. While he was being transported by EMS to a hospital in Cincinnati, teammates were in tears.

Hamlin has made an amazing recovery and sat at home to watch the Bills defeat the Dolphins in the AFC wild-card game.
